Data protection policy

The AccessCat Network is committed to a policy on the protection of individuals' rights and freedoms regarding the processing of their personal data.

In compliance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR), we inform you that the personal data you include in the contact form or when subscribing to the newsletter will be processed, with your consent, in order to send you information related to the AccessCat Network.

The legitimate basis for processing is consent, in terms of Article 6.1.a, in relation to Article 4.11 of the GDPR. The Autonomous University of Barcelona, as the processor, will not transfer your personal data to third parties and other recipients without your consent, except in legally foreseen cases or mandatory compliance, and your data will not be transferred internationally.

Your data will be stored for as long as they are necessary for processing purposes. Processing your personal data does not imply automated decision-making, nor the creation of predictive profiles on personal preferences, behaviours, or attitudes.

In compliance with current legislation on personal data protection, you may withdraw your consent at any moment and exercise your right of access, rectification, erasure, the right to restrict processing, and the right to data portability through a request to the person responsible for processing (anna.matamala@uab.cat) or to the UAB Secretary General at Campus Universitari de Bellaterra, Edifici del Rectorat, Pça. Acadèmica, 08193, Bellaterra (Cerdanyola del Vallès) (sec.general@uab.cat), together with a copy of your ID or any other form of identification.

Likewise, you may file a complaint with the Catalan Data Protection Authority (http://apdcat.gencat.cat/ca/inici/) and consult the UAB Data Protection Officer (proteccio.dades@uab.cat).
