To commemorate World Autism Awareness Day (April 2), TransMedia and Xarxa AccessCat researcher Pilar Orero participated in the webinar on Immersive Inclusivity: Enhancing Virtual Worlds with Accessibility, an event to celebrate the diversity within the autism community and to recognize the importance of creating environments that embrace everyone, regardless of their neurodiversity. This webinar is held in the frame of the Digital Transformation Dialogues.

Participation of the researchers Pilar Orero and Anna Matamala (TransMedia Catalonia) in the 29th meeting of the Intersector Rapporteur Group on Audiovisual Media Accessibility, focused on accessibility in the audiovisual media.

Estel·la Oncins and Pilar Orero, researchers at TransMedica Catalonia, are participating in the 4th International Telecommunication Union Forum, "Shaping the CitiVerse: People Centred Cities & Virtual Worlds."  Orero as a speaker in the session "Digital Frontiers: Navigating the Digital Landscape of the CitiVerse," and Oncins as a participant in the 5th meeting of the focus group on accessibility and inclusion in the metaverse.

Sarah Anne McDonagh, researcher at TransMedia Catalonia, joins the focus group about metaverse at ITU in Geneva. The researcher will attend "MV Working Group 8 - Sustainability, Accessibility & Inclusion" to develop a technical report on accessibility in a sustainable metaverse.
