Awareness-raising Activities

Activities organised by researchers in the network in order to spread their knowledge on accessibility to society. The goal is to raise awareness on how important it is for everyone to have access to communication and information, as well as to offer innovative solutions.

La Escuela de la Administración Pública de Cataluña organiza una jornada de diálogo y reflexión sobre la comunicación efectiva y transparente de la Administración con la ciudadanía. Participa Horacio Saggion (TALN, UPF) con la ponencia "La inteligencia artificial (IA) al servicio de la simplificación de textos".

The Catalan School of Public Administration organises a day of dialogue and reflection on effective and transparent communication between the administration and society. Horacio Saggion (TALN, UPF) participates with a presentation titled "Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Service of Text Simplification".

AccessCat and seven groups from the network participate in the 2024 edition of the European Research Night. The researchers participate in various spaces with a range of activities, from workshops to dynamic shows, all aimed at raising awareness and showcasing research on accessibility.

Catalunya Film Festivals, an affiliated entity of the network, organises the Film Festivals Learning and Sharing HUB (FFLASH-HUB), an international meeting and training point for film festival professionals. Network researcher Andrea Granell (DIDPATRI) and affiliated entities Dincat and Èlia Sala participated as speakers in the round table 'Catalonia Accessibility Code: Opportunities and Challenges for True Inclusion'.

The AccessCat Network, along with researchers from the TransMediaCatalonia and TALN research groups, is part of WSIS 2024, a high-level event co-organized by ITU, UNESCO, UNDP, and UNCTAD.
