On 20 and 27 June, researchers from the AccessCat Network’s research groups will offer six free, online, and standalone capsules aimed at the general public.

Registration is now open for the new edition of the AccessCat Training Capsules: the 6x15 of 2025, an accessibility training programme by the AccessCat Network geared toward citizens and the general public. Six 15-minute training capsules in which researchers from the Network’s research groups (AFIN, Transmedia Catalonia, TraDiLex, GRIHO, and LSC Lab) will share suggestions, tips, and basic concepts on various aspects of communication and information accessibility in a practical and entertaining way. 

For this third edition, the training capsules will be held on two consecutive Fridays (20 and 27 June), from 13:00 to 13:45. They will be online, free, and open to anyone who wants to delve deeper into the world of accessibility, no matter their affiliation with the Network. Below, you can see the full programme:

Friday, 20 June

  • 13:00 - What do we understand as access? Three key concepts (Laura Sanmiquel, AFIN)
  • 13:15 - How to influence accessibility regulations (Anna Matamala, TransMedia Catalonia)
  • 13:30 - Accessible tools: solutions in the market (Estel·la Oncins, Transmedia Catalonia)

Friday, 27 June

  • 13:00 - How to make a more accessible society Everyday ideas (Blanca Arias, TraDiLex)
  • 13:15 - The European Accessibility Act: what is it and what does it imply? (Afra Pascual, GRIHO)
  • 13:30 How to reach Deaf audiences (Sílvia Gabarró, LSC Lab)

All capsules will have subtitles and Catalan Sign Language interpreting.

The capsules are independent and attendees may choose to attend only a few sessions.
