This congress on urban innovation is the most important one of its kind in the world and will be held from 7 to 9 November 2023 in Barcelona. AccessCat will have a booth so researchers from the Network can present their technologies and solutions

TheSmart City Expo World Congress is the most important congress in the world on urban innovation and smart cities and, every year, it brings together leaders from businesses, governments, and organisations to work on the cities of the future. This year, the congress will be held from 7 to 9 November 2023 at Fira de Barcelona.

Researchers from several research groups within the AccessCat Network will present their technologies, innovative solutions, and services related communication and information accessibility to both companies and organisations. Accessibility is a key element when designing smart cities, as not only does it make them more inclusive and competitive, but it also guarantees equality and social cohesion. All this poses an interesting challenge for present and future cities, as well as for the “citiVerse” (Metaverse for Citizens).

We encourage all Smart City Expo World Congress attendees, members, and AccessCat affiliate entities to visit us from 9 to 19 h at booth A91 in Hall 2 any day of the congress. What’s more, we would also like to encourage you to attend the presentations given by the AccessCat research groups and the conference Accessible Communication in the Cities and the Citiverse, given my Anna Matamala, director of the Network.
