The winning project was Remote Usability Lab: Usability and Accessibility Evaluation of Web Systems (Web U+A Evaluation), conducted by researchers Afra Pascual and Marc Gonzalez.
On 13 December, the AccessCat Network hosted AccessCat Innovation Day, a meeting that brought together researchers, institutions, authorities, and organisations related to accessibility. During the event, the researchers (and their projects) who had passed the written phase of the II Call for Disruptive Solutions delivered 7-minute presentations explaining their projects and how they would invest the network’s funding.
After deliberation by the evaluation committee and a public vote, the winning solution was announced: Remote Usability Lab: Usability and Accessibility Evaluation of Web Systems (Web U+A Evaluation), led by researchers Afra Pascual and Marc Gonzalez from the GRIHO research group (University of Lleida).
The Call for Disruptive Solutions aims to fund the development of disruptive solutions (including technologies, services, or innovative knowledge) in the accessibility field. Winners can receive up to €20,000 in funding for this purpose.
As Gonzalez explained during the presentation, this funding will help the research group evaluate the market potential of their disruptive solution, a project on which the research group has been working for five years.
