Virtual assistant (chatbot) that offers interactive, multimodal (speech and written text), and multilingual access to information on administrative procedures or other relevant information, thus facilitating accessibility through different strategies: guided searches, personalised responses, voice interaction, automatic translation, etc.

These features not only make administrative procedures more accessible, but also foster independence and confidence among persons with different needs. They are also of great help for users who do not know exactly what information they need, information which existing search engines do not allow them to find without very specific key words.

Thanks to the use of advanced techniques in natural language processing, the tools can be adapted and automatically updated to different websites (or groups of websites), which considerably lowers the costs associated to other chatbots that must be manually designed.

As a real example, an application has been developed to provide support to the reception and integration of migrants and refugees in Europe: personalised digital assistants for contexts related to registry, orientation, language learning, civic education, and social inclusion. It is the project WELCOME, addressed to migrants and associations who offer them support, as well as the public administrations who assist them.
