Last 28 November, the Autonomous University of Barcelona held the VI International Day of People with Disabilities. This year, this event has focused on accessibility to information and communication in university spaces.
After the presentation given by the general secretary, Esther Zapater, the director of the AccessCat Network, Anna Matamala, gave the lecture titled “Fem xarxa per a una comunicació accessible: recerca i transferència” (“Networking for Accessible Communication: Research and Knowledge Transfer”), in which she presented the role of the AccessCat Network in terms of knowledge transfer on accessibility to information and communication.
Moreover, she also presented the ATHENA project, developed by the research group TransMedia Catalonia, which focuses on accessibility in higher education settings.
