Pompeu Fabra University organises the 11th workshop of the Pompeu Fabra Chair, titled “Speaking and Understanding Languages in the Context of New Artificial Intelligence (AI) Paradigms”. Across two days, various activities take place, including the roundtable “How is communication in Catalan promoted? Dreams of the past, current projects, and future challenges”, featuring network researchers Mariona Taulé (CLiC, UB) and Horacio Saggion (TALN, UPF).

The Neolcyt (UAB) research group presents the talk “Collaborative Resources in Clear and Accessible Language: New Technologies at the Service of Citizens” at the 3rd International Congress on Clear Communication (COMCLARA), aimed at both academia and professionals, as well as public administration.

The Neolcyt (UAB) research group takes part in the 2nd Convention of the Pan-Hispanic Network for Clear and Accessible Language, this year focusing on “Principles and Practical Experiences”, presenting a prototype terminology assistant for plain language: MarIAterm.

Course organised by the Culture Service of the University of Alicante and the Valencian Government, with the participation of the TraDiLex (UPF) research group as expert trainers. The course offers a theoretical and practical introduction to audio description.

UBICS Day brings together talks and activities aimed at fostering interaction and knowledge exchange among members of the institute. The CLiC (UB) research group takes part in this year’s edition by presenting SCRIBAL in the poster exhibition, which aims to share research projects in an open context and enrich scientific debate.

The CLiC research group presents SCRIBAL at the Interspeech conference, that has as theme for its 2025 edition "Fair and Inclusive Speech Science and Technology".
